On June 12, 2021, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled that a Chinese LED display company won the lawsuit against Ultravision, an American company, over the intellectual property rights of LED displays. The intellectual property lawsuit, which lasted more than four years, ended with a final victory for Chinese LED display company.

Ultravision Technologies, LLC, Dallas, Texas, filed a complaint with the ITC on March 27, 2018, under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended. Ultravision has filed a Section 337 investigation against over 40 companies including tens of Chinese firms and South Korean Samsung Electronics and Japan's Panasonic and NEC, claiming infringement of Ultravision's LED display patents. In parallel with the ITC's Section 337 investigation, Ultravision filed an intellectual property lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on March 27, 2018, in the same case.

After the active response of domestic LED display companies including Ledman, Ultravision was forced to withdraw the lawsuit in the face of the core and key evidence provided by Ledman. On February 21, 2019, ITC decided not to review the preliminary decision of the administrative law judge, and agreed to terminate the Section 337 investigation case. This decision means that after nearly a year of investigation, the Section 337 investigation filed by the Ultravision Technologies against Lehman and other companies in the LED display industry on March 27, 2018 ended up with Ultravision withdrawing the lawsuit, and Lehman and other respondents achieving a complete victory.

The lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas was a continuation of Ultravision's legal action against a number of Chinese LED display companies after the end of the Section 337 investigation. Learning from the successful experience in Section 337 investigation, Chinese LED companies introduced the key evidence in the investigation to the lawsuit, exerting strong pressure on Ultravision. After a long trial of evidence, cross-examination and other procedures, these companies finally won the lawsuit, demonstrating to global LED display users the ability of Chinese LED display companies to pay attention to intellectual property rights and provide the best LED display products for users. This victory will also promote the rapid development of China's LED display industry in the world.
